Mason Black Notch Details

Why is the Mason tuxedo so popular with brides, grooms and formal event attendees?  There are many reasons.  The trim fit jacket and pants are modern, yet exude a timeless look.  A good portion of our customers prefer notch lapel suits and tuxedos and this tuxedo checks that box.

The ultra luxurious 120s fabric is soft, comfortable and breathable.  This comfort is easily noticeable when you touch the fabric of the jacket, pants and vest.  Weddings and formal events can be part of a very long day, and comfort is key to having an enjoyable time.

The notch lapel is also adorned with full satin.  Satin buttons and satin lined besom pockets add a touch of style and class to the jacket.  And of course, the satin adds a bit of formality to the attire.

Tuxedo Fitting

We always tell our brides and grooms to determine how formal you want your groom to look based on 1) how formal your venue is; and 2) how formal the bride’s wedding dress is.  If the bride is wearing a formal ball gown, it goes without saying that the groom should match her formality.  This beautiful tuxedo has the perfect amount of formality without being over the top.

As with many Ike Behar tuxedos and suits, Mason has both matching skinny fit and slim fit pants available.  Skinny fit are perfect for the person looking for a modern look, maybe even a shorter length pants showing off his loafer and colorful socks!

Again, Ike Behar always comes through with other choices.  This tuxedo has two matches vests.  One is the traditional, V-shaped vest and the other is a scoop shaped vest that exposes more of the front of the shirt.

We are fans of wearing this tuxedo with patent leather shoes, but for those who want to tone down the formality a bit, matte finish shoes will certainly work with this handsome tuxedo.

Mason Black Notch Review

This author (Franco!) personally prefers this tuxedo. I have worn it many times over, even for my own wedding in 2021! (My wife loves this one. She thinks it’s sexy.)

We also attended a formal event in Merano, Italy for the Italian chapter of the food and wine organization called Chaine des Rotisseurs and I wore Mason to the final gala for that event as well.

What we typically tell our brides, grooms and formal event attendees is that if you are looking for a classy and timeless look, the Ike Behar black tuxedo with notch lapel is a perfect choice all around.
