If you were to marry fashion-forward and classy, you would get the Luxor velvet tuxedo jacket!
Black Velvet Tuxedo Details
This extremely luxurious black velvet tuxedo jacket has one satin button, a full satin peak lapel. The designer of this tuxedo is called Mark of Distinction (MOD). Anyone knows at Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo that this designer designs its tuxedos in a very tight fashion! These fit very tightly because it the designer understands that grooms, groomsmen and prom-goers who like these types of styles, really like to wear them in a very fitted manner.
We love this jacket with our black microfiber shirt. The colors and look just blend in and give a perfectly modern look. The matching pants offer some nice choices. We have standard trim fit tuxedo pants with a thin line of satin running down the side of the pants, skinny fit pants and ultra- stretch skinny fit pants. Most of our customers choose either the skinny fit pants or the ultra-stretch skinny fit pants. Why is that? Because most of our guys like wearing the pants a little shorter (think exposed ankles) and either wearing our slip-on patent leather loafers or they purchase our black velvet shoes.
Either way, you will be the life of the party in this classy tuxedo jacket.
Best Time of Year for This Jacket
Anyone who has an opportunity to feel how luxurious and plush the Luxor velvet jacket is will realize that it is probably not a good choice for a warm weather event. We typically recommend wearing this jacket for fall or winter events. Summer and spring events may be just too warm for it. We did, however, have one groom who insisted on wearing this jacket to his wedding because he fell in love with it. His wedding was in early June and in the end, he was very happy that he chose it because he loved the jacket and the skinny fit black velvet look gave him the look he wanted.
A Word of Advice When Renting a Velvet Jacket
When it comes to renting a velvet tuxedo or suit jacket, it is important to ensure that the size and length of jacket you choose is the proper sleeve length. Because velvet sleeves cannot be hemmed for each rental, it is important that you try on a jacket with the right length sleeve. The industrial presses that we use to give that crisp look to the jacket and pants that you rent would eventually ruin the velvet. Too much weight and heat pressing down on the velvet age the fabric very quickly. Fortunately, this tuxedo jacket come in the following lengths: short, regular, and long.
Try It On At Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo
When Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo has you try on one of our clever fitting jackets, we will be able to show you the standard length of the sleeve of the jacket in that size. As you can see in the photo, all of our fitting jacket sleeves have lines on it to demonstrate the length of the sleeve depending on which length of jacket you choose. In a regular non-velvet or non-satin jacket, we are able to hem the sleeves to the exact length you prefer. With a velvet or satin jacket, you are unable to shorten or lengthen the sleeves and must find the jacket with the standard sleeve length that suits your needs.
If you are looking to be the fashion forward guy with a look of class, we don’t think you could go wrong with the Luxor velvet black tuxedo jacket! How about you, would you wear this one?
