Ike Behar’s Yale blue suit called “Jacob” has been widely popular with our brides and grooms and their wedding parties for the big day! The suit is made with ultra luxurious super 120’s wool blend fabric to ensure a perfect fit and your comfort all day. The jacket has a notch lapel, two button front and flap pockets.
Pants and Vests
The suit comes with matching slim fit Yale blue pants and two different Yale blue vests. When first offered, this suit was only available with a scoop vest. Many brides and grooms did not like the look of the scoop vest, with its U shape look in the front. They either chose to go without the vest for the wedding or chose a different suit. However, this year, Mr. Behar must have taken some feedback to heart. The suit is now available in a more contemporary V shape vest and because of this, we feel this suit will be more popular for weddings this year.
Shoe Pairing
We recommend wearing this formal suit with brown shoes. We rent and sell thousands of suits and tuxedos every year and all but maybe 2 or 3 wedding parties wear this suit with brown shoes. The other few typically choose our matte black shoes, but there is no ‘right way’, the right way would be the way you like it!
As the co-founder of Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo, I personally own and wear this suit all of the time, because the blue color is very subtle and beautiful, the fabric is extremely comfortable and the unique look of the suit is not going to make you look like everyone else in the room. Without the vest and a crisp white dress shirt and tie it is appropriate dress code for a business meeting or guest of an event; with the vest you elevate the look for a more formal occasion.
