You have dreamed of being a bride your whole life, and now is your time. Your fairy tale wedding day is now being planned and it’s time to find the best venue and see the best princess dresses for your magical day!
When you picture a fairy tale venue, we think of the perfect local venue: the Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, PA! Aldie Mansion is a historic English-country estate surrounded by picturesque gardens with splashing fountains, soaring trees, and winding pathways. They can host a truly spectacular wedding.
When you think of a princess fairytale dress, we picture bridal gowns in the ball gown silhouette and a dramatic cathedral or royal length long veil. Of course, added accessory pieces will add to the look and can even give two dress looks in one for your big day!
Imagine the amazing photos of a breathtaking bride gliding down Aldie’s winding, hand-carved staircase! Or from the balcony overlooking the gardens and guests. The happy couple dancing the night away after a lovely ceremony. Are you seeing it?!
Let’s keep going and look at some princess dresses that would be perfect for this venue by season:
Summer: Mia Solano “Verona”
Literal perfection for the aesthetic, harkening to Shakespear’s Juliette. Demure, innocent, and captivating, Verona with the shimmery leaf-and-vine lace pattern and cap sleeves and just a hint of soft champagne color. The perfect dreamy summer princess dress.
This would be perfection on the balcony (again, Juliette!) overlooking the formal gardens and guests with her Romeo. For the most elegant pictures, we would pair in our gorgeous Allure Men’s Sandstone tuxedo. Lightweight and comfortable to wear the whole day (and night!).
Autumn: Essense of Australia “D-3971”
Exuding timeless elegance, the style and sophistication of this dress match Aldie’s luxurious Great Gatsby style! Floral-print organdy jacquard and tailored fit. This is a true princess ballgown. Detachable off-the-shoulder shawl (did we mention the accessories?!), too! The perfect location for the ceremony and the best photos would be beneath the long-reaching boughs of our 300-year-old Burr Oak tree!
The autumn colors against this crisp gown would nail the princess aesthetic, and with this dress in fall we would keep it classy and pair the gorgeous navy Sebastian tuxedo. These choices are spot on and make for the most adorable couple!
Winter: Sophia Tolli “Sienna”
Fun, flirty and undeniably romantic! This tulle ballgown is definitely made for twirling into happily ever after with sparkles, lace, and a cascading tiered skirt. Whimsical floral appliqués throughout the skirt give a fairy tale finish. Long sleeves for the season and the romance. Sienna would be beautifully highlighted in the brick courtyard with the Tudor-style estate as the backdrop. We can only hope for a hint of snow or some flurries for truly lovely pictures of a beautiful couple on an absolutely magical day!
With this shimmering white dress, we would go classic Winter theme with white flowers and pair the timeless and perfectly fitting black Mason tuxedo from Ike Behar.
Spring: Morilee “Primrose”
This fairy tale ball gown has frosted and embroidered floral appliqués with a corset bodice, illusion back with buttons, and dreamy bishop sleeves! Voluminous full tulle skirt with sequined sparkles is meant for dancing all night long. This dress also has a matching cathedral length veil and posing on the steps in front of the Tea Garden fountain is the right place for lovely first look pictures! Can you see this on a beautiful day in spring with the gardens and trees bursting with blooms? Magnificent.
A perfectly lovely princess wedding dress that we would pair with the earthy brown Archer. A great match for the spring season to coordinate beautifully with the surrounding colorful blooms.
