I personally own and wear this charcoal suit a few times a month because of how professional it looks. This light weight 100% worsted wool suit has a notch lapel, two button front, side vents and a beautiful lining. Worsted wool tends to be softer and the fabric’s pattern is more defined, making this type of wool superior and more comfortable for making dress suits.
Slim Fit Pants
The flat-front slim-fit pats are made of the same grey comfortable wool as the jacket. For added comfort, the pants have an adjustable waistband and comes with matching grey belt loops.
Vest or No Vest With Dark Grey Suit?
While the designer makes a matching grey vest for this suit, not all of our customers wear the vest. If they are attending a more formal event or will be at a more formal venue, our customers certainly wear the vest on those occasions. However, if the event is not overly formal, customer still look dressed up with the jacket, pants, white shirt, long tie, choice of belt and shoes.
Dark Grey Suit – What Shoes?
Because this is a grey suit, you have the choice of wearing black or brown shoes with it. Both look great. I personally have always worn black matte shoes with this suit mainly because this is a darker grey fabric and I think a black belt and black shoes look better with the darker grey fabric. However, some Darianna® customers wear brown shoes and a brown belt with this suit.
The brown shoes and belt do create more contrast between the darker grey and the browns. If you are looking for a modern look, then our professional opinion is to stick with the brown shoes.
Other Suit Options
Erik Lawrence does make the same exact black suit called Emmit. If you are looking for bolder colors, we suggest the Erik Lawrence French Blue called Matteo. Darianna® Bridal & also offers a very light grey suit that looks more like a silver. This suit is is more appropriate for late spring and summer due to how light the color is.
All three are wonderful choices depending on the look you are going for.
