We recently had the honor of touring The Farm Bakery & Events in Quakertown, and we cannot wait to share it with you!
This charming, modernly rustic venue is tucked away on a quiet road surrounded by acres of picturesque landscape. The Farm is owned by Chris and Becca Lynde, who also got married and reside on the property.
The Seed Barn was built in the 1820’s, and was rebuilt by an Amish Crew in 2016. It is 2000 square feet and can host up to 200 guests. That same year, they opened up The Farm Bakery and began selling delicious treats made with locally sourced ingredients!
While weddings are a huge part of their business, The Farm also hosts rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, concerts, workshops, and more. There is ample parking and the entire venue is handicap accessible. Not to mention, the owners and staff at The Farm Bakery & Events are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
The Tour:
Upon turning into the large parking lot, you are immediately greeted with the sweetest and most inviting details – the welcome sign, the outdoor seating areas, and The Flour Cart (that some couples choose to serve welcome drinks from).
Harvest Barn
We began our tour in the Harvest Barn. This gorgeous, rustic chic space has a high ceiling with walls of French doors that overlook their pristinely landscaped fields. Natural light fills the room and makes this the perfect space for smaller events! The second floor of this space holds freshly upgraded guest bathrooms, and hidden around the corner is the bridal suite.
This space is immaculate and has everything a bride and her crew could ever need to get ready. A wall of mirrors and vanities (with plenty of outlets) for hair and make up, a large bathroom, hooks to hang dresses, multiple seating areas, and even a coffee bar! The room also has a row of large windows to provide natural light and gives the bride a sneak peek of her guests arriving.
Outdoor Ceremony Space
Outside of the French doors, you are led down a path toward the Seed Barn and the outdoor ceremony space. Following that, a wooden arch stands at the end of the aisle surrounded by trees with Edison string lights strewn above. This dreamy ceremony space can be decorated as desired, but remains perfect as is!
After the ceremony, guests are seamlessly transitioned over to cocktail hour underneath the deck of the Seed Barn! Finally, guests can relax in the shade or explore the offerings of the property without having to trek far at all.
The Groom’s Suite
In this area under the deck, you find an unsuspecting barn door, but what lies behind that door is the groom’s suite! This space has a spacious seating area, a bathroom, a pool table, a tv, bar seating, a mini fridge, and a Keurig to help keep all the anxious jitters away before the ceremony. This suite keeps all of your guys close by so that there is no scrambling to find everyone before showtime!
After we toured the groom’s suite, we were taken to the main event: The Seed Barn. We walked up the stone path toward the large barn doors, and once they slid open, we walked into the most intimate and cozy reception space! Straight ahead sat the sweetheart table and rows of long tables were set up on both sides, leaving the perfect space for dancing in the center of the barn. More Edison lights are draped across the rafters that work to enhance the romantic ambiance!
The Seed Barn at Farm Bakery
Behind the sweetheart table is another set of doors that lead out to the deck that overlooks the ceremony space, the optional fire pit (with s’mores!), and the rest of the idyllic property. Tents can be put on the deck to accommodate a higher guest count, or this space can be used for guests to relax by heaters in the Fall or cool off in the Summer!
Wedding Customizations
One aspect of The Farm that couples will love is their ability to customize their event to their own tastes! You are free to decorate however you wish, choose vendors that best align with your vision, and even choose add ons from the Farm like the fire pit, s’mores bar, and tractor rides. The venue even provides tables, chairs, set-up and breakdown, and day of coordination as part of the package booking your wedding with them! All in all, The Farm will check all of the boxes.
