The Bodice
Starting with her bodice, 1398 is a strapless gown with a romantic sweetheart neckline. Called this for its heart-shaped design, an eyelash lace trim lines the edge for an extra facet of perfection.
One of the concerns from our brides is whether a strapless neckline allows for the same mobility and comfort as dresses with built-in straps. In the case of 1398, the answer is ABSOLUTELY.
The entire bodice is built with corset boning, strong and supportive to allow for comfort without fear of a falling dress. Closing easily with a zipper, delicate buttons line the back of the bodice, after all, who doesn’t love buttons!
Waist & Skirt
Working our way down, 1398 has a soft and subtle basque waist. This creates the image of a classic and timeless princess cut. Considering the waist billows out into a stunning ball gown skirt, princess is the perfect word to use.
With several layers of crinoline hidden within, it’s hard to ignore the stunning silhouette this dress creates. The softly pleated skirt flows into a wondrous train, with detailing that can still be seen even if bustled.
The Details
We have yet to mention the highlight of this dress, and what it is most often recognized for…its intricate Chantilly lace detailing. The stitching seems to create outlines of flowers and leaves, each individual shape crafted with expertise and love. The lace detailing travels across every part of the dress, creating what can only be described as a work of art.
