The Manor House at Prophecy Creek has been a top venue choice among our brides and grooms for the last decade, and after our visit, we can absolutely see why!
Tucked away between large trees and gorgeous foliage, the Manor House at Prophecy Creek sits on 80 acres of land. It is owned by Robert Fair, who created this venue in 2010 after having much success with his catering company. Robert Fair Caterers remains the in-house caterer for The Manor House at Prophecy Creek.
The house itself is 260 years old, and has been incredibly maintained to keep the original charm of the property with some modern touches. The Manor House at Prophecy Creek can accommodate up to 280 guests! There are a variety of spaces both in the Manor and in the ballroom to host weddings of all sizes without feeling overwhelming. They have a large parking lot to hold all of your guests, and the venue is ADA accessible so all of your loved ones can celebrate with you without worry! Prophecy Creek has packages that include nearly everything (cake, linens, and even a day-of coordinator) so couples do not have to stress about smaller details.
The Tour:
Upon entering the Manor, we headed straight back to the tented ballroom and were completely blown away. The Ballroom layout is so unique and different from any other venue I have seen before. The top floor is used for dancing, the sweetheart table and overlooks the lower floor where the guest tables sit. Ovular tables are used to provide a more intimate dining experience versus the larger round tables that are traditionally used! The tent is climate controlled to accommodate weddings year-round.
The walls of the tent were rolled up to show the perfect view of the immaculately landscaped garden. Two ponds are divided by a winding pathway leading to a stone bridge that is perfect for pictures and a gazebo where many couples opt to do their first look. The area is surrounded by lush trees, including the 8th largest tree in the country, Big Bertha, which has a sweet little swing attached to one of its thick branches that couples can use for pictures!
Ceremony Spots
There are two different ceremony spaces set up outdoors depending on the desired backdrop and the size of your wedding. The larger space has a stone walkway leading up to a platform with a gorgeous view of the garden! An arch can be set up and decorated, but many couples opt for no arch as to not disrupt the view. The smaller space is near the barn on the property. The same stone path and platform is set up in this area, as well, with a lush greenery background to keep the focus on the couple.
Regardless of the space you choose for your ceremony, you are only steps away from cocktail hour in the garden! Guests are free to roam the garden during cocktail hour and take advantage of the various spaces for pretty photo ops. You are the only wedding booked on the property for the day so the entire space is for you and your guests!
The Manor
Our tour of the Manor began upstairs in the Groom’s suite! This space has plenty of seating, a TV, a speaker, and a full bathroom for his group to use while getting ready. Up another floor is the spacious Bridal Suite that contains everything a bride and her ladies could need to prepare. The suite is divided into two separate rooms connected by a small doorway. The first room has multiple vanities set up for the girls’ to have hair and makeup done and a bathroom, making it the perfect getting ready spot! The second room is spacious with seating, a mirror, and even a ceiling hook for the bride to hang her dress. Another large bathroom is right outside the door so all of your girls can get ready at once and stay on the timeline!
Back on the main level are a handful of charming rooms! The library is the cutest spot for guests to grab photos in front of perfectly posed library decor. This room is also where the cake and dessert stations are set up after dinner. If you walk through the doorway in the library, you are taken into the bright dining room that houses the coffee station! Down the hallway and behind some French doors is a room with an additional bar that you can add on to your package for faster beverage service.
The Ballroom
We ended our tour in a smaller indoor ballroom with doors that open right back out to the tented ballroom! This room has a large window that overlooks the gardens and provides plenty of natural light for indoor photos during the day. During the reception, this area is typically where the DJ is set up, and provides more space for dancing than just the upper level of the tented ballroom.
Every room in the Manor has its own charming qualities, making the Manor House at Prophecy Creek a perfect choice for your wedding day!
