The steel grey Dylan suit by Ike Behar is the darkest of this designer’s grey suits with a peak lapel. The designer offers a very light grey version of this suit called Griffin and a shade of grey that is darker than the Griffin, (but lighter than Dylan) called Austin. With these three suits, your grey suit needs are covered!
Dylan has a one button front closure, vented sides and double besom pockets. The fabric is a very comfortable 120’s wool blend.
Pants and Vests
Ike Behar offers matching slim fit, flat front pants that are adjustable by 3 inches on each side of the pants. Our grooms and groomsmen really enjoy the ability to adjust the pants for added comfort.
Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo offers two styles of matching vests for this suit. We have a scoop vest. A scoop vest has a U shaped front and looks a little more old fashion. We also offer a V shaped vest which is more contemporary and is usually what most people recognize as a traditional standard vest.
Personal Professional Experience
I am the co-founder of Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo and personally own this suit. I wear it often, probably once every other week. I enjoy the comfortable high-end wool fabric, the perfect fit and the color of the suit. Often I rather wear a suit that has some color to it that is not black. To me, a black suit can be handsome but to me its not as interesting and appropriate for a business setting. This gray suit is dark enough to look formal, but does not look like a run of the mill black suit. The peak lapel is also a nice differentiating touch. Most people wear suits with a notch lapel so I know there’s a high likelihood that I will have a different lapel even when I am in a room of 100+ people.
When I purchased this suit, I was given the scoop vest. Since then, the designer offers a V shape vest however I have stuck with the scoop vest, mainly because its another thing that makes me look different in a formal setting and I don’t feel the need to have two vests for the suit. I don’t feel out of style, in fact, I feel more stylish with an accessory so unique.
There are so many tie color and patterns that go with this suit as well and it will look different every time I wear it, whether as a two-piece suit or the more formal three-piece option.
Although you can wear brown shoes, since Dylan is a steel color, I personally like it better with black shoes and a black belt because the fabric is very dark and I feel that the black accessories look better with this shade of grey.
