Gray suits have been on trend for several years, and our Ike Behar suit named Austin seems to be the perfect shade of gray. This one works for any time of year, as the gray heather shade is not too dark and not too light. The hue is right in the middle and will be the perfect match for any bridesmaid or prom dress.
The trim fit jacket has a peak lapel, one button close and double besom pockets.
Pants and Vest
The suit comes with slim fit, flat front pants. Like all Ike Behar pants, they are adjustable by three inches in the waist. This is quite convenient when you need to tighten or loosen the waist of your pants.
For the vest, choose from either a scoop vest or V-shape vest. We find that most of our brides and grooms prefer the look of the more traditional V-shape vest. Not sure what a scoop vest is? Read our blog on the differences between the two types of vests.
Shoes
With this color suit, you have the option to wear brown shoes or black shoes. The choice is entirely up to you. I personally like black shoes with this suit however we have seen many grooms wearing it with brown shoes and the look is just as good.
Owner’s Notes
As co-founder of Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo, I personally own this suit because I like the moderate shade of gray and the high-end fabric is quite comfortable. In addition, I always give preference to Ike Behar suits and tuxedos because somehow they always fit like custom suits.
I like wearing this suit when it not too cold or not too hot. When the days are colder, I lean towards darker grays like the steel grey Dylan. When it’s warmer, I tend to wear the light grey Griffin.
The gray suit Austin is versatile to either own or rent. If purchased, it would be a perfect go-to for events such as a job interview, guest of a wedding, or a dinner party with a formal dress code. The look is classic and the feel is comfortable for all-day wearing. Any number of accessory colors will work with Austin so you can change up the look every time you wear it!
