Meet Zuri
Designer: Sophia Tolli
Why We Love Her:
Zuri is a vision of elegance and glam! This dress seamlessly blends together timeless simplicity with modern, beaded and lace flare. This fit and flare has an incredible and ornate, sheer bodice featuring a vine lace pattern adorned with beads. These shimmery appliques sit atop a layer of Chantilly lace that provides a touch of modesty and dimension to the unlined top. This lace pattern continues up to the shoulder for a fun, asymmetrical spaghetti strap and leads into a low, scooped back.
The lace from the bodice also falls down the sides of the Zuri dress to the the knee in a pattern that helps emphasize the bride’s shape! The simple mikado skirt perfectly balances the ornate detail to ensure that the dress does not overwhelm the bride. A row of buttons begin at the top of the scoop back and trail down to the top of the lace appliqué on the skirt. A stunning, sheer lace train adds the best finishing touch to a gown that has a little bit of everything!
She’s Perfect For:
Firstly, Zuri is the perfect dress for the bride who is torn between modern and elegant gowns. Not to mention, we often have brides who like styles that seem to contradict each other, but Zuri has the perfect blend of elements to appeal to brides who might want a little bit of everything! Provided that, there are enough details to make her WOW your guests, but not too much that you feel like the dress is wearing you.
It’s safe to say that this dress is the perfect choice for brides with receptions in venues like ballrooms and country clubs! Furthermore, the back of this gown would be a photographer’s dream to pose underneath big chandeliers or on grand staircases. With a bodice that has so much detail and sparkle, she is best seen underneath big lights like those in indoor reception spaces! Ultimately, Zuri is a dream wherever you decide to wear her.
What Makes Her Special:
A unique feature of this gown is the fitted mikado skirt. Typcally, most dresses of this shape are made of crepe, which is a thinner and stretchier fabric. Having a thicker material like mikado can be beneficial for brides who love the look of crepe gowns but do not like the way it clings to the body. Overall, mikado is a fabric that has a bit more structure to it and holds its shape better than crepe can!
Additional Features:
One other fun part about Zuri is that you can order its detachable train! Essentially, this train hooks into the sides of the gown and gives a two-in-one look. Brides looking for a dress that can give them two separate looks will love the idea of being able to have essentially a ballgown for the ceremony and then taking it off to reveal the fit and flare style for their reception.
Overall, having the option to customize the look appeals to many brides, but some opt to keep Zuri the way she is without the train. Whatever your vision is, Zuri by Sophia Tolli can achieve it!
