Classic Wedding Tuxedos: Black-Tie and Formal Weddings
For black tie and most formal affairs, a black tuxedo is the most common and most popular. Grooms will usually wear a white shirt, a white or black bow tie, while the groomsmen can match their tie and pocket squares to the color of the bridesmaids.

The navy blue tuxedo is right behind in popularity. Navy is another classic tuxedo color and provides a sleek look that may feel a bit more modern. Some navy tuxedos come with a black lapel, and grooms will choose black for their groomsmen’s attire to distinguish the groom from his men.

There is always the traditional linen suit, which is a great option to keep cool. Popular also for summer or beach weddings are the Oxford light blue suit and gray groom’s suit.
The groom can be distinguished with a long tie and/or a different boutonniere. The groomsmen can also wear just a vest over the shirt and pants, no jacket required. You may choose to have the groomsmen in suspenders instead of a vest over a white or ivory shirt.
Destination weddings do not call for such a formal appearance due to the temperature, but a classic color such as an Oxford blue, light tan, or shale gray suit are perfect options.
Casual Event Attire
