Why We Love Her:

When it comes to detail, Kitty Chen never misses! To say the least, Jeanette truly has it all. From the illusion lace in the bodice to the petaled train, she is fabulous head to toe. Starting at the top, she has a modest, traditional, rounded sweetheart neckline, featuring a slight modern plunge that is the perfect transition into her unlined bodice. Venue Feature: Chimney Hill Estate Inn

We recently had the opportunity to tour historic Chimney Hill Estate Inn in Lambertville, NJ and felt it worth a feature. This recently renovated property is absolutely breathtaking and can now also host weddings up to 100 guests.

Beautiful Chimney Hill Estate Inn

Originally constructed in 1820, it was redesigned and expanded by Margaret Spencer, one of the first female architects in the United States, in 1927.

In 2000, the barn was reconstructed into six luxury suites with amenities including gas fireplaces, modern bathrooms and kitchenettes, while maintaining the historic charm of a centuries-old property.

This B&B is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The first thing I noticed was the peaceful feeling on 8.5 acres of beautiful landscaping, mature trees, and stone walkways. It immediately felt like a calming retreat.

The Tour: Chimney Hill Estate

Firstly, this venue started with the barn suites. Fully renovated and each as beautifully appointed as the next. Some even have spiral staircases! Bright, welcoming, and calming, it certainly would be difficult to choose which room!

Moving to the main house rooms, the choice is just as difficult! From the first floor to the third, there will be a room that calls to you. I love historic properties and the quirkiness of their design, including all of the nooks and crannies, lean-tos, wood beams and floors, but coupled with modern upgrades like the stainless appliances, brand new bathrooms, and granite countertops it becomes the best of both worlds.

Ultimately, this is the perfect room to relax and unwind with an afternoon cocktail or a pre-dinner drink in any season, but I picture myself here with a hot chocolate in the snowfall. That would be nothing short of magical:

Chimney Hill Estate Bed & Breakfast

Of course, we cannot forget the breakfast part of a Bed and Breakfast! After a fitful night sleep, continue your relaxing weekend by starting your day with a delicious morning meal here:

This property offers so much more than just a bed-and-breakfast. They have anniversary packages, specials for Mother’s Day, even a sweet area for a marriage proposal or vow renewal and picnic after.

The best part is that they are now able to host weddings up to 100 people! Have the best day ever speaking your vows outside in any season with a reception celebration either indoor, outdoor, or both!

Overall, there are always events being held (like wine and cheese parties, a favorite!) and so many nearby attractions, Chimney Hill Estate is a venue with many lovely and unexpected surprises. This is a great idea as a gift for a couple, a weekend getaway, a birthday, anniversary, or graduation celebration, and can now even host weddings! Definitely worth checking out for yourself. Featured Wedding Dress: Austin from WToo

Meet: Austin

Designer: Wtoo by Watters

Why we love her:

Austin by Wtoo is everything that feminine, boho brides could want in a wedding dress. An airy tulle skirt, corset-style bodice, and glistening, leafy appliques create a couture gown that brides will never want to take off.

Austin’s strapless sweetheart neckline is a favorite of brides, and with no deep plunge it is perfect for brides on the modest side. The unlined bodice shows the corset-style boning in the gown; this highly supportive design element ensures that the gown stays in place all night long. It also adds a modern, sexy vibe to this very flirty dress. The bodice closes at mid-back with a zipper closure. Leaves and vines decorate Austin’s bodice and flow down onto the tulle skirt. Perfectly placed, the appliques reflect the organic and natural beauty of outdoor venues.

Why we love her

Autumn by Sophia Tolli will take your breath away– and your fiance’s! Stunning floral appliques, illusion detailing, and cap sleeves give Autumn an ethereal, fairy-tale vibe.Flowers and vines swirl around the bodice and throughout the skirt. A scattering of clear sequins interspersed within the appliques sparkle subtly without distracting from the intricacy of the lace pattern.
