In addition, you can see the color of the fabric is more vibrant and darker when it is a higher quality. A more well-known or sought after designer name can also cause a tuxedo rental to be more expensive. Think the brand name ‘Michael Kors’ compared to a lesser-known designer.  Finally, a lesser expensive design may not fit as well or have all of the finer details of a higher-end brand.

If a lower price works better for your budget, then you may want to consider the classic Princeton tuxedo for your wedding or formal event! 

Erik Lawrence Tuxedo Details

The full satin black peak lapel jacket is side vented, has one button and what we consider a classy, narrower peak on the lapel.  The matching trim fit pants are made of the same fabric as the jacket and have a thin line of satin running down the side of the pants. 

Fortunately, Erik Lawrence also offers the same pants in a skinny fit style so you can mix and match your wedding party based on their fashion needs.  While pleated pants are not as popular today when it comes to tuxedos and suits, this designer also provides these tuxedos pants in a pleated version.

Black Velvet Tuxedo Details

This extremely luxurious black velvet tuxedo jacket has one satin button, a full satin peak lapel.  The designer of this tuxedo is called Mark of Distinction (MOD).  Anyone knows at Darianna® Bridal & Tuxedo that this designer designs its tuxedos in a very tight fashion!  These fit very tightly because it the designer understands that grooms, groomsmen and prom-goers who like these types of styles, really like to wear them in a very fitted manner.

We love this jacket with our black microfiber shirt.  The colors and look just blend in and give a perfectly modern look.  The matching pants offer some nice choices.  We have standard trim fit tuxedo pants with a thin line of satin running down the side of the pants, skinny fit pants and ultra- stretch skinny fit pants.  Most of our customers choose either the skinny fit pants or the ultra-stretch skinny fit pants.  Why is that?  Because most of our guys like wearing the pants a little shorter (think exposed ankles) and either wearing our slip-on patent leather loafers or they purchase our black velvet shoes.

Best Time of Year for This Jacket

Anyone who has an opportunity to feel how luxurious and plush the Luxor velvet jacket is will realize that it is probably not a good choice for a warm weather event. Notch lapel tuxedo jackets are by far our most common tuxedo rentals.  The full satin lapel, buttons and double besom pockets add to the sophistication of this fine tuxedo.  With a matching contemporary vest and flat front pants, Firenza is the perfect tuxedo for a father of the bride or groom or to attend a gala.  Why do we say that?  Because the relaxed fit provides some “give” in the fabric allowing for extra movement.  You also do not feel restricted in this tuxedo as you would in a trim fit or skinny fit tuxedo.

By the looks of the photo, you would not believe Firenza is a relaxed fit tuxedo.  The styling is still slimming and the fit looks custom.  This tuxedo is available from size 3 boys all the way up to a 66R. 

Tuxedo Sizing and Fits

While some of our other tuxedo and suit options go up to size 80, we find that most if not all tuxedo and suit rentals are below a size 66.  Why not put the ring bearer in a more relaxed fit tuxedo?  He would be more comfortable!  Let’s face it, most adults who don’t wear suits and tuxedos on a regular basis are often uncomfortable in restrictive clothes.  A ring bearer would be no exception.

Given that we are starting to see more relaxed fit suits and tuxedos being designed in Europe, we feel that in the next couple of years, we may see more offerings of relaxed fit tuxedos.  We already offer two other relaxed fit tuxedos: our Romeo from Ike Behar black double-breasted tuxedo and our Easton navy double-breasted tuxedo. The idea for these tuxedos came out of the trend seen in Europe for more relaxed fit clothes.

This is a 100% worsted wool suit with a trim fit jacket and pants.  It is also a two button jacket with classy flap pockets.

We love the Emmitt black suit because it has matching trim fit jacket, pants and vest.  While not everyone goes for the vest, it’s always an option for someone who wants to look more formal.  Most renters, from our experience, do not rent the vest when attending a funeral or as a guest to a wedding.  However, on occasion, customers will rent the vest if they are attending a more formal wedding or the funeral of a very close friend or a family member.

actually captivated our brides and grooms and it became an extremely popular style for both renting and purchasing. In fact, it was the 5th most popular tuxedo and suit rented for autumn weddings so the numbers prove how popular!

When customers come into the store, they ask if the Allure Men Denim Tuxedo is made of denim. This is obviously before they see the actual suit on our mannequin. The tuxedo is not made of denim, rather a light-weight wool blend that has the color of denim. It is a two-button notch lapel jacket and has a matching denim vest and slim fit pants. The designer also offers a matching denim colored bow and long tie as a perfect match to the color and texture of the tuxedo.

Why a Denim Tuxedo?

So why do we think this tuxedo is so popular with our brides and grooms? Because the color and texture are different. When you first look at the fabric, it has a somewhat casual look to it.  However, the wool-blend fabric has a luxurious and comfortable feel to it, along with some other details that will surprise you.

Tuxedo Details

Most tuxedos have satin on the lapel, pockets and buttons.  This particular tuxedo has plastic buttons, similar to a suit and no satin. Instead, there is a stitching that lines the edge of the lapel that emulates a satin border, without having any satin.  It’s essentially a quarter inch border stitched on the lapel to look like satin piping.

Having said that, Ike Behar created Romeo, a beautiful double-breasted version of his black peak lapel tuxedo (link that blog).  This tuxedo offers the same ultra luxury 130s fabric for the double-breasted jacket, slim fit pants, skinny fit pants, V-shaped vest or scoop vest.

This is a perfect tuxedo for a larger man looking to hide some girth.  The tuxedo, if properly fitting, also works well with a slim person.  Traditionally, double breasted jackets do a wonderful job of making someone look slimmer and more streamlined. 

We have seen this many times over when a customer tries on a double-breasted jacket in our store.  When the customer looks in the mirror and sees how fit the jacket makes him look, he usually immediately rents one of our double-breasted tuxedo jackets.

We recommend patent leather shoes with Romeo because they are more formal and classic.

Double-Breasted Tuxedos

While the number of people renting double-breasted tuxedos is currently not as high as our standard tuxedo jackets, we are seeing an increase in rental rates as the year progresses.  This is certainly a style that we see more in the autumn and winter months because of the extra fabric involved with this type of jacket.  We are also seeing more fashion forward or trendy-conscious customers are gravitating to double-breasted styles.

With the classic Jackson tuxedo, we prefer shiny (patent leather) shoes. 

Of course, patent leather shoes provide a more formal look but some of our customers prefer matte finish, non-shiny shoes.  Matte finish shoes are also acceptable to wear with tuxedos.
