One of the most fun ideas you can incorporate into your wedding reception – or any event – is the Photo Booth.  Consider at a wedding not everyone may want to dance and a photo booth offers an entertainment option for those guests as well as those who do like to dance.

It can also be an alternate “party favor” for the guests. And the pictures last forever.  Often the mason jar or candle favors get left behind, but nobody leaves their pictures behind!

We asked about his background and how he got started in the entertainment business.  Art told us, “I have been in the entertainment industry since the late 90’s.  It all started by playing in bands in State College, PA while attending Penn State.  That parlayed into managing a DJ company called Local Motion DJs at the same time. After leaving State College, I decided to start my own DJ business originally by running karaoke shows.  Eventually I was asked to do a friend’s wedding and that really snowballed into what Armani Entertainment is today.  We now offer DJ services for weddings, private events as well as Karaoke, Trivia and now recently we added photo booth services as well.  By far my favorite service is the photo booth as it’s the most interactive.”

He said the biggest thing to consider when hiring an entertainment company is how passionate and professional the person/company is.  How personable are they?  Do the communicate efficiently and timely?  Do they go the extra mile, dress the part, have good reviews?  All these things must be considered before booking.

Art said the most popular prom from young to old is the poop emoji sign!  His personal favorite prop is the minion glasses.

And even with the photo booth, the selfie is still prevalent – guests will snag a prop or two and post a selfie!  There are so many great and funny photos on Art’s Facebook page.  We asked for his favorite and he said it’s this one with him and his “Booth Directors” Deanna, Betsy and Bill.

They love being known as the best karaoke hosts around!  “It’s not for everyone,” said Art. “It’s a love it or hate it kind of thing, but we have turned some non-believers into karaoke junkies.  Once you start, it’s hard to stop and is quite addicting.”
